Adam Niles emerged the winner of the championship, shooting a fine 3 under par 141. Adam said that he mostly kept the driver in the bag, choosing to keep the ball in play with irons due to the tight lay out. Andrew Rouble finished 2nd at 143 and Mike Morgan finished 3rd, winning a 3 hole play off over Jeff Stashuk.Salmon Arm proved a great challenge to the field of over 100 golfers. Thanks are due to Golf North and all the staff at Salmon Arm Golf Club, as well as to our volunteers for ensuring a successful championship.
On behalf of Terry and I, and all of our Zone 2 Men's Executive, thank you for participating in our Zone Men's & Sr. Men's Championship. It was our biggest turn out in quite a number of years, which coupled with the challenge of Salmon Arm Golf Club, led to finishing close to dark on the 1st day.
This was the first year we tried emulate British Columbia Golf's approach of including all players in the main field then a separate division for senior aged golfers (similar to what is done with the Senior and Super Senior Men). Planning the draw and deciding on the final days pairings were somewhat of a challenge and definitely a learning curve for us. We appreciate the recommendations we received from a few players as well and it will be food for thought moving forward. As well, while we try to be accommodating it will be necessary in the future to curtail specific draw requests as it seems to lead to unnecessary situations that to some may seem unfair.
Our thanks to Salmon Arm Golf Club, GM Brad Kennell and Head Professional Brad Campbell and Tammy and her F & B Staff for all of their support in making the event successful. To our volunteer team including Erich Breitkreuz, George Horner, John Nyermeyer, Ron Tate and Brian Schreiner, thanks for the long hours you dedicated to the event.

For the first time the Zone Senior was a 36 hole event, given that BC Golf changed the qualifying criteria for the provincial championship. The championship was hotly contested and Stewart Scott emerged as the winner with a 2 over 146. Jason Monteleone and Doug Engbrecht finished tied for 2nd at 152, and these three men make up the Zone 2 Senior Team to the BC Senior Championship.

Zone 2 was well represented at the recently held Senior and Super Senior Men's Championship held at Pitt Meadows Golf Club.
Congratulations to Todd Wiseman, a member at Salmon Arm Golf Club, who battled hard to finish at 2 under par and edge out Tom Kenny of Coquitlam. He also won the better ball competition, partnering with Trevor Van Hoof of Maple Ridge. Todd, together with Tom Kenny and Chris Jung will represent BC at the Canadian Senior Championship.
Norm Bradley of Kelowna finished 8th while Jason Monteleone finished 21st. in the Senior Men's Division.
While Todd was battling to win the BC Senior Men's, Norm Bradley was winning the Super Seniors Division finishing 3 over par, 2 better than Frank MacKenzie of Victoria. Norm is a past champion of the Senior Men's Division and a perennial Zone 2 Senior Men's Champion.

The BC Super Senior Championship is held in tandem with the Senior Championship. Norm Bradley (Kelowna G & CC) won the championship with a 2 stroke victory over Frank McKenzie of VIctoria. Len Filek of Summerland finished 6th.

The Men’s Division of Zone 2 annually provides a variety of services to member clubs as well as to players. Member clubs can call upon the zone for support in the areas of Rules, Course Rating and Handicapping. Thank you to RH Wheel and Brake for sponsoring the Zone 2 Men's Amateur.
